Cardiff University has a real coup by welcoming the twice Grammy Award winners Soul II Soul at their Great Hall (Solus) on Friday, November 8, 7-11pm. Celebrating 25 years of success in the music industry Soul II Soul will feature the distinctive voice of Caron Wheeler as well as a band and string section.
Soul II Soul began as a sound system playing house parties and warehouses, but their silky mix of several dance floor styles was to lead to a bevy of hit records. Singles such as ‘Keep on Moving’, ‘Back to Life’, ‘Ghetto Life’, ‘A Dream’s A Dream’ and ‘Joy’ plus the debut album ‘Club Classics Vol. One’ offered global success and other achievements then followed.
