English hardcore punk collective Anti-Nowhere League announce a concert at The Globe!

Initially banned from every TV channel, radio station and newspaper in the country, the anarchic yet ambitious Anti-Nowhere League cultivated associations with heavyweights from the beginning, gaining support slots with the likes of The Damned. They also saw Metallica cover their soon-to-become anthem So What?

Their debut single – the cover of Ralph McTell’s Streets of London – spent 5 weeks in the UK Chart, followed closely by their debut album We are…The League, which reached no.24 and stayed in the charts for 11 weeks.

After numerous disbandments and subsequent regroups, they continue to perform their loud, obnoxious, anti-authoritarian material to loving crowds the world over. In recent years, they have appeared at Shepherds Bush Empire, Leeds & Reading Festival, Download Festival, playing alongside the likes of Rancid, Sham 69, and Motorhead.

Still loyal to the idea of independent music, Anti-Nowhere League’s resolve to work through their own label is stronger than ever, and so is their desire to keep what they do away from the public eye.

One of the UK’s remaining classic punk bands, they are now more than ever true to that original underground mentality. Make sure you catch their incredible live show at Cardiff’s Globe!
