Have HeART Ltd are one of the 5 organisations who were selected for Sainsbury’s Pontypridd’s Welsh Community Grant Fund. This enabled them to use £500 to help young children in our community. Customer Service Team Leader Aaron Wilson and HR Clerk Emma Evans presented the group with the cheque for £500 and they cannot wait to get started on their project.
The money will enable disadvantaged young people to design a collection of 3 limited edition ethical bags for life at a community design workshop. They will take part in a screen printing workshop at an art studio in Cardiff to produce them and develop their entrepreneurial skills by selling them at market and online. As a social enterprise the money made from the bags would then be used to fund further arts activities in the community decided by the young people.
