A 60 TRACK JOURNEY THROUGH THE HEART OF AMERICA
THIS ALBUM WILL TRANSFORM YOUR CORSA INTO A CORVETTE…
AND YOUR TRANSIT INTO A TRANS AM!
American Road Trip is a full-throttle, retro-rock journey through the heart of America. Running hot across 3 CDs, this 60-track album features the biggest rock anthems of all time.
There are feel-good, hands-in-the-air rock classics such as Bon Jovi ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’, Boston ‘More Than a Feeling’, Journey ‘Don’t Stop Believing’, Doobie Brothers ‘Long Train Runnin’, The J. Geils Band ‘Centrefold’, Lynyrd Skynyrd ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, Tina Turner ‘The Best’ and Alice Cooper ‘Poison’.
There are also some pedal-to-the-metal garage-rock smashes such as Iggy Pop ‘Passenger’ and The Knack ‘My Sharona’.
And when the sun goes down, there are classic big-hair ballads from Mr. Mister ‘Broken Wings’, Whitesnake ‘Is This Love’, Heart ‘Alone’, Toto ‘Africa’ and the classic ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ by Foreigner.
The album marks some noteworthy American motoring anniversaries: 40 years ago, the American road-race / truckin’ movie Smokey & The Bandit (1977) was released, starring Burt Reynolds. The film featured the Pontiac Trans Am, which was THE American poster car for boys of a certain age. Launched in 1967, the Trans Am this year celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. In 2015 Burt Reynolds sold the only remaining Trans Am from the movie (the other four were completely wrecked during the filming) to a private buyer for $450,000.
Whatever your journey – and regardless of whether your Pontiac is, in fact, a Punto – make it the trip of a lifetime with American Road Trip.
