Fast growing South Wales law firm, CJCH Solicitors, has further extended its range of services with the appointment of new heads of department in both Commercial and Dispute Resolution, as well as opening two further offices.

Gareth Thompson joins CJCH from HCB in Solihull as head of the Commercial Department and Nerys Thomas, a highly regarded Cardiff litigator is leading the Dispute Resolution team. Collectively, they will steer the newly formed CJCH Mediation service.

Gareth and Nerys bring a wealth of expertise to enable the Practice to provide a full range of services for commercial clients and resolve a wide range of commercial and educational disputes and conflicts quickly, easily and cost effectively.

The firm’s growth also involves the opening of new offices in Bristol and London, with the Bristol office in the thriving area of Prince Street, and the London office in Mayfair, servicing their high value property clients within the City.

Gareth has assisted individual and corporate clients as a solicitor in a wide range of commercial, civil and employment matters for over 30 years. His highly business-like approach sees every client matter as a project to be consistently delivered on time and budget. As a mediator of disputes he offers a 95% full resolution mediation success rate.

Nerys is a well-established litigator accustomed to acting for a variety of entities. This experience allows her to tailor the service offered; being mindful of the issues and complexities of a dispute, the potential personal elements involved and the client’s specific requirements. Acutely aware of cost concerns within disputes, Nerys looks for alternative routes wherever possible to bring matters to a swift resolution for her clients.

Gareth and Nerys both have fantastic reputations as highly accomplished lawyers and with the team they have assembled, will really enhance the services we offer to clients,” said senior partner, Stephen Clarke.

Together they are adept and creative in mediating and settling complex and involved cases and are highly skilled in managing issues as diverse as legal and educational disputes, board room and partnership conflicts, complaints procedures, and change management.”

He added: “We’re excited to be opening new offices in Bristol and London, in addition to our headquarters in Cardiff and South Wales offices in Bridgend and Barry.”

Gareth said: “This gives us an ideal platform from which to access and service our growing portfolio of city based corporate clientele.”
