Relax in the informal atmosphere of the Wurlitzer Lounge before enjoying an afternoon of fantastic Christmas Musical entertainment on Wales largest Theatre Organ.
Paul will be playing the ex Regal Edmonton Christie theatre pipe organ, which spent some years at Barry Memorial Hall in the 1980s and 1990s.

A Brief History
Paul Kirner bought the disused Saron Chapel in Ynyshir and with the helpof his friend Ben Snowdon, a part time organ builder and restorer,who lives in Cardiff and a young enthusiast from Leicester, (fromwhere Paul also hails) Anthony Meads, who had a good electricalbackground, set about converting the chapel into a building whereboth theatre and electronic organs could be restored and played. They were helped by many volunteers and they kept as many of theoriginal features as they could.
In August 2016 2 successful opening concerts were held, the first organ to be installed and restored being the ex Regal EdmontonChristie, built in 1934, which spent some years in the Barry MemorialHall in the 1980’s and 1990’s. In June this year a second theatreorgan, the “Candy” Wurlitzer, built in 1925 ex PictureHouse, Leicester, Exchange Northampton, the Cowshed and then MikeCandy’s in Hemel Hempstead was ready to be played. It is believed tobe the only original one of that model. Two more theatre organs arein the process of being installed, the Compton from DominionTottenham Court Road (with some additions) and the Compton from theRitz Hereford.
The reis also a range of electronic organs spanning the years 1938 to 1979,including the Hammond LaFleur from the Capitol Cinema in Cardiff.
This year also saw the Collection gain charity status ensuring the futureof the Collection.
Besides public concerts the venue is available for group bookings byarrangement and available for hire by the hour.
