Welsh Air Ambulance have visited World of Words partner schools to speak to the children about their wondrous work. The presentations have been a major success and the children have been attentive and inquisitive.
What an academic year it has been to date as regards WOW visitors – let alone our influential school sessions and rewards programme that has seen children go to watch international male and female football, visit the Royal Mint and attend pantomimes.
Those celebrated guests have included author Jenny Sullivan, artist Sion Tomos Owen, historian Phil Rowlands, Olympic coach and international runner James Thie, Welsh athlete Lauren Cooper, representatives from the Rhondda Tunnel Society, Welsh Air Ambulance and the Senedd plus Tonypandy book and toy shop Wishing Well.
At the end of the day WOW is providing opportunities for children to gain positive experiences from its innovative initiative and unique literacy approach plus a range of real-life role models.
These chances are in abundance. Please help World of Words i.e. www.worldofwords.education (WOW) help children.
