This superb set covers the most successful commercial period of Punk legends Stiff Little Fingers – featuring every A and B side issued between 1978-83. This pristine punk package includes the hit singles ‘Straw Dogs’(No. 44), ‘At The Edge’ (No .15), ‘Nobody’s Hero’ (No. 36), ‘Back To Front’ (No. 49), ‘Just Fade Away’ (No. 47), ‘Silver Lining’ (No. 68), ‘Listen’ (No.33) and ‘Bits Of Kids’ (No. 73). Also on board are the classics: ‘Suspect Device’ and ‘Alternative Ulster’ which to this day still spearhead the SLF live mantra.
The booklet contains detailed liner notes on each single plus illustrations of all relevant sleeves. Original vocalist/guitarist Jake Burns and bassist Ali McMordie still front the band to this very day and the years have passed since the magnitude of this momentous music but their fire still offers ‘Inflammable Material’ from a band that are far from ‘Nobody’s Heroes’.
I was glad to have been around during the era of 79-83 and many moons on I am still happy to hear these TNT tunes. Enjoy…..
