THE FALL
Sub-Lingual Tablet–10th Anniversary Edition
30 May 2025
PURPLE MARBLE VINYL
‘Sub-Lingual Tablet’ was The Fall’s 31st studio album.
• Featuring all the trademarks of a great Fall record, ‘Sub-Lingual Tablet’ comprises eleven tracks on double vinyl.
• Originally released by Cherry Red Records in May 2015, the much sought after 2LP is re-issued on very limited edition purple marble vinyl to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this fine record by The Fall.
Founded by its only constant member, Mark E. Smith, The Fall formed in Manchester in 1976 and existed until Mark passed away in 2018. Musically, there may have been several stylistic changes over the years, but it is often characterised by an abrasive guitar-driven sound and frequent use of repetition, always underpinned by Smith’s distinctive vocals and often cryptic lyrics. The Fall were productive and powerful, while being unique and uncompromising. The post-punk experience that never stayed in one groove and set the standards for others to follow – and many did. The master maverick Mark is sadly missed but with a legacy of such lustre he will never be forgotten.
